The Laurentians is a magnificent mountain range in the southern part of Quebec, Canada. It is situated north of the Saint Lawrence River and the Ottawa River and surprisingly covers 22,000 square miles of territory! This area is home to beautiful landscapes, stunning rivers and fresh water lakes, making it a large tourist destination offering a large list of activities all year round. In the summer months, there are golf courses, lakes for boating and parks for hiking. In the winter season, it is very common to find avid skiers and families driving just one hour to the Laurentians from the island of Montreal. This area prides themselves on having the largest concentration of resorts in the Eastern Canada region.
